About The Falcons

2018/19 Under 12/3s Team Photo

Established in 1864, the Lilydale Cricket Club has a rich history as being one of the oldest cricket clubs in the country. Boasting some of the finest facilities in the association, our clubrooms and pavilion overlook side-by- side grounds at Lilydale Recreation Reserve. Our facilities have undergone a major revamp in recent years, including the resurfacing of our main oval, electronic scoreboard, LED-oval lighting along with brand new showers, toilets and grandstand seating.

We currently field 5 senior sides, with our First XI competing in the Lindsay Trollope Shield – the competition’s top premier grade. Our junior program consists of girls & boys teams in all age groups from age 10 right up to age 19. We welcome both girls and boys to join our club with teams open to cater for all abilities and experience levels.

In the last 9 years, we have won premierships in each of the 6 senior grades we compete in. Most notably, our First XI has won 3 premierships in the last 7 seasons, taking out the Bill Wilkins Cup in Season 2015/16, and most recently winning back-to-back Lindsay Trollope Shield premierships in Season 2017/18 and 2018/19 – the competition’s premier grade.

We believe that success on and off the field are intrinsically linked. As such, we are looking for players and families that would like to be associated with the most successful, forward thinking and community-based RDCA club for the 2023/24 cricket season and beyond.

Our cricket department is committed to providing high quality coaching and mentoring to all junior and senior players, with a particular focus on personal development to help achieve team success. Our committee is keen to develop high quality individuals who become respectful and valuable members of the local community. We are an organisation that prides itself on its local roots, and one of our strategic goals is to help make the community a better place.
